When it comes to ensuring that customers feel well taken care of not only during the purchase but also afterwards, much of it runs through me: As Head of Customer Service at Homestyle4u, I am responsible for creating an after-sales experience that leaves a lasting impression. I take feedback very seriously, carefully analyze customer requests and responses, and derive concrete improvements from them – whether for product quality, assortment expansion, or optimized processes. At the same time, I focus on current developments such as AI-supported processes to make workflows more efficient and modern. In my role, I act as an effective link between different areas of the company: I connect the customer perspective, internal teams, and strategic decisions so that everything works seamlessly together.
My foundation is built on my training as a wholesale and foreign trade specialist, combined with 13 years at the company – a period during which I have gained extensive knowledge of structures, processes, and developments. I continuously expand this expertise through self-study, trade fairs, workshops, and seminars offered by marketplaces and shipping service providers. This allows me to stay up to date professionally and directly apply new impulses in practice.
What excites me about my work is its dynamic nature. No day is the same, and new challenges, ideas, and opportunities constantly arise. I particularly enjoy actively accompanying the changes in e-commerce and not only experiencing developments but helping to shape them. In addition, there is what makes a strong working environment for me: a great team, a modern office, shared laughter, good food, the classic fruit basket – and yes, even the legendary secret chocolate cupboards that quite literally sweeten the workday.
In my private life, I live with a consistently positive mindset and lots of energy. I am interested in fashion, enjoy a healthy lifestyle, and – purely for professional market analysis, of course – I am a passionate online shopper. Most important to me, however, is time with my loved ones, especially with my son, who is my greatest treasure and whose passion for sports I fully support (#supportingmom). My goal is to resolve requests quickly, find solutions, and turn frustration into ease. For me, that’s what great service is all about: listening carefully, thinking ahead, and staying committed until the customer is satisfied.
My professional journey originally started in a completely different field: I trained as a restaurant specialist and joined Homestyle4u in November 2017 as a career changer. At the beginning, I had no classic experience in customer service, but I brought a lot of motivation and willingness to learn. Step by step, I built up the necessary knowledge and realized how valuable my service experience from the hospitality industry is – because here, too, it’s about taking people seriously, responding quickly, and finding solutions.
What I particularly enjoy about my job is the direct contact with people. I love helping, finding solutions, and receiving positive feedback afterwards – these moments of success are the greatest reward for me. The daily variety also ensures that it never gets boring. After all, you never know who will call next or what request awaits you – and that’s exactly what makes my workday so exciting.
In my private life, I recharge my energy best when I’m on the move or enjoying small moments of well-being. I love traveling and city trips, especially to my favorite destination Italy and Lake Garda, and I enjoy concerts – particularly when Helene Fischer or Ben Zucker are on stage. Conveniently, my colleague Monique shares this passion for music, so as desk neighbors we complement each other perfectly. To relax, I recently discovered hula hooping for myself and find calm on my acupressure mat with music. My goal is always for our customers to feel well informed and to be able to say with confidence: “I’m in good hands here.”
I entered this role as a career changer with a completed training as a hotel specialist. Working with people was already part of my everyday life back then – in person, on the phone, or via email. This experience helps me greatly in customer service today, as it has shaped my understanding of service, communication, and attention to detail. I have now been part of Homestyle4u for two years and contribute to our team every day with dedication and passion.
What do I particularly enjoy about my job? I love helping people. Especially when a problem arises or something doesn’t go as planned, it’s even more rewarding to find a solution together. Turning uncertainty back into trust and seeing customers satisfied in the end feels great every single time.

My professional background has provided the ideal foundation for this role: Through my training in retail and my subsequent degree in business administration, I have always been closely connected to products, sales, and customer needs. After several years in market research and gaining insights into marketing, I have been part of Homestyle4u for around five years. During this time, I have gradually grown into my current role and specialized in product management, content maintenance, and data quality in e-commerce – areas where accuracy, structure, and a strong sense of interconnections are essential.
What excites me most about my work is the variety of our products. Each piece of furniture comes with its own characteristics, special features, and potential questions. Identifying these early, preparing content accordingly, and providing optimal product information makes my work diverse and engaging. The first impression is made online – and that’s exactly what I am responsible for at Homestyle4u. As an E-Commerce Manager for our in-house online shop, I ensure that our products impress digitally just as much as they do later in our customers’ homes. My goal is to create a shopping experience that provides orientation, builds trust, and evokes emotions. I guide customers through the shop in a way that allows them to already imagine each product in their own living space. In addition, I have recently taken over responsibility for the OBI platform, where I focus on presenting our products in the best possible way and unlocking new potential.
My professional journey has been diverse – and that is exactly what defines my strength today. I started as a management trainee, where I developed a solid understanding of business processes and entrepreneurial thinking. I then worked in marketing, combining analytical work with strategic communication. The next step led me to a role where I was able to build the complete online presence of an existing company – including the initial management of major platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and Kaufland. This intensive hands-on experience in platform management, content, and performance ultimately brought me to Homestyle4u around three years ago.
What excites me about my job is the combination of structure, creativity, and technology. Managing an online shop means much more than maintaining products: behind it are technical processes and system logics that must function smoothly for sales to be possible at all. Especially at the beginning, this meant that I was not only a manager but also a problem solver, a technical expert, and a content creator at the same time.

For our customers, this means one thing above all: products that are easy to find, clearly presented, and convincing with a coherent overall appearance – emotional, yet precise.
To ensure that our offers are not based on gut feeling, I work consistently in a data-driven way: I analyze top and low performers, derive concrete measures, and optimize assortment, content, and visibility to sustainably strengthen our customer base. I built up my expertise in Berlin, where I worked for a major outlet retailer for fashion, home & living, and accessories. The professional foundation for this role is my training as a specialist in warehouse logistics. I have been part of Homestyle4u since 2017 and know the logistics business from the ground up: starting as a warehouse employee, I gradually took on more responsibility, helped shape processes, and developed step by step – until I took over the management of the warehouse in 2020. This journey is important to me because I understand both the strategic planning and the practical implementation from my own experience.
What I particularly value about my job is the combination of hands-on work and strategic thinking. Physical activity, organization, and team leadership constantly alternate, ensuring that no two days are the same. My goal is for every image not only to inform but to inspire – because strong visuals are often the first point of contact between a product and its buyer.
My path to this role has been as diverse as the visual worlds I create. I have completed several professional trainings, pursued extensive self-directed studies, and continuously expanded my skills through further education, building a broad creative and technical foundation over the years. For more than 20 years, I worked as a freelance photographer, managing a wide range of projects and refining my personal style. For the past four years, I have been bringing this experience to Homestyle4u, combining my photographic signature with the demands of modern product and brand communication.
What fascinates me most about my work is the combination of teamwork and creativity. Ideas rarely emerge in isolation – often it is conversations, shifts in perspective, or spontaneous ideas in collaboration with colleagues that truly strengthen a concept. At Homestyle4u, I ensure that our products make a strong visual impression and capture customers from the very first glance. As a graphic and media designer – or, as I like to call myself, a multimedia designer with a focus on photography and image editing – I photograph our products, optimize their presentation, and create scene images that show how furniture can look in customers’ homes. My goal is not just for people to see a product, but to imagine how it feels. In addition, I design visual content for our shop newsletter and homepage, ensuring that updates not only inform but also inspire.
My creative journey began early with a strong passion for colors, shapes, and design. After completing my Abitur with a focus on art, I trained as a design technical assistant for media and communication, where I discovered my love for photography and the Adobe Creative Suite. I then studied Multimedia | VR Design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. Through my entry into e-commerce, I ultimately found my way to product photography – and with it, my professional passion. Since 2022, I have been bringing this passion to Homestyle4u, creating visual worlds that combine design, atmosphere, and product impact.
What I find particularly exciting is the constant evolution driven by digitalization and AI. For me, change is not an obstacle but a motivation: instead of being slowed down by challenges, I use them to discover new creative approaches. In the past, I built scenes manually on the computer; today, modern tools complement my work and open up new creative possibilities. My professional journey is characterized by versatility and many years of experience. I originally started in data processing with a focus on programming and have continuously developed over the years – including roles in financial and payroll accounting, purchasing, and as an assistant to the management. This broad expertise is complemented by my confident use of systems such as DATEV and SAP. With over 40 years of professional experience across various fields, I bring a deep understanding of numbers, processes, and business operations to my work at Homestyle4u.
And beyond the world of numbers, I am rarely still: In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends or staying active in sports – often together with “my” gymnastics kids, who are especially close to my heart. I then spent several years in Wolfsburg and later in Berlin at an international industrial and investment group. There, I gained valuable experience in exactly the areas I now bring to Homestyle4u: organization, coordination, interface management, and structured working – even when handling multiple topics simultaneously.
What I particularly enjoy about my job? I love bringing order to chaos, improving processes, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable and enjoy working together. Because that is exactly what our customers ultimately experience: motivation, reliability, and a service that truly works.
And yes – behind all the to-do lists is also a person with sunshine in her heart: born in the beautiful month of May and carrying a deep love for the Baltic Sea. I enjoy starting my day early – true early birds know how rewarding a productive morning can be. Instead of coffee, I prefer tea, and when it comes to my wardrobe: black always works. I like everything to have its place – it creates clarity, calm, and space for great ideas in everyday work.

I founded Homestyle4u in 2004 and, during my studies in business administration, I already took advantage of the early days of e-commerce to gain my first practical experience – a foundation that continues to shape my entrepreneurial work to this day. Together with Eileen, I bring extensive experience and strong expertise to the ongoing development of Homestyle4u.
A central focus of my work is purchasing and maintaining close relationships with our suppliers. With a strong sense for products and current trends, I continuously develop our product range and ensure that quality, style, and standards are always aligned.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and have a passion for sports in many forms. My road bike plays a special role in this – clearing my mind and recharging with full energy for the next day.

Since 2010, I have been part of Homestyle4u and have supported the company in many key areas of its development. As the “right hand” of the company owner, I am closely involved in entrepreneurial decisions and take on a coordinating role when it comes to structuring and bringing together essential processes. I ensure that individual topics turn into clear workflows and that projects are implemented efficiently and purposefully.
A particular focus of my work lies in project management, marketing, and the legal management of our web presences. In addition, I built up the Amazon platform for Homestyle4u and continue to manage it to this day. This ensures that our products are not only visible but also presented professionally, legally compliant, and in a targeted manner.
My professional background has provided me with a solid foundation for this role. I am a trained administrative specialist and have also completed a degree in business administration through distance learning. This combination helps me work in a structured way, maintain an overview of economic relationships, and stay organized even when managing multiple topics at the same time.
Outside of work, I appreciate calm and creative moments: in my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, or spending time with our family dog. For me, this is the perfect balance – and a great way to recharge with fresh energy for the next day.
